The lounge affords lovely views over the award winning gardens. Guests can enjoy a quiet drink, full afternoon tea, light snacks or simply relax with their feet up in front of the real log fire and favourite newspaper, or local holiday guide.
The lounge has been refurbished with the original features in tact including the ornate coving and ceiling rose above the light, luxurious bespoke sofas, comfortable armchairs and sumptuous new carpet have all been added to complete the make over.
The lounge is an ideal retreat to sit and relax following a hard days sightseeing around the Yorkshire Dales, Lake District or shopping in the nearby market town of Penrith, or Border town of Carlisle.
Alternatively it's an ideal setting for planning the next days holiday activities whether it be cycling, walking or a trip on the Ullswater Steamers, the area surrounding the hotel abounds with things to see and do.
