The hotel conservatory is a great place to sit back, relax and watch the world go by, as it is blessed with great views over the Eden valley, Appleby Castle and our award winning gardens (Cumbria in bloom best hotel garden 2004).
Guests can enjoy a quiet drink, Full afternoon tea or a selection of dishes from our light snacks lounge menu, it is also a great place to enjoy your canapes before dinner or your coffee and petits fours after your meal in our 2AA rosette restaurant.
Our other lounge has an open fire, comfy sofas, and plenty of nooks and crannies to disappear into, and has good books, magazines and newspapers to read.
The lounges and conservatory are where we serve pre-dinner drinks and our guests look over the menus for the evening. Our style of service is relaxed and friendly, which makes a refreshing change from many country house with a more formal and starchy atmosphere. Service is still highly professional, and the quality of food means we have been awarded a prestigious two rosettes by the AA. |
