We are a Grade 2 listed Georgian Country House Hotel nestling in the foothills of Alston Moor in the heart of The North Pennines, which is designated an area of outstanding beauty.

For our guests who like walking there are many public footpaths literally on the doorstep.

Our hotel is situated two miles from Alston in Cumbria and is easily accessible from all parts of the UK. Our location makes it an ideal centre from which to visit The Lake District, Hadrian’s Wall, The North Pennines, Durham Cathedral and The Yorkshire Dales
