The Derwentwater Hotel is committed through its environmental policy to operate in harmony whenever possible with its surroundings.
For some years now, we have worked alongside English Nature towards enhancing our extensive 16 acre grounds and wetlands to form a natural but protected habitat for birds, mammals and deer. It is delightful to sit in the conservatory and watch red squirrels, mallards, hedgehogs and pheasants foraging for food. |
