Bridgelands Cottage in Cark in Cartmel
Sarah & Neil Gowers welcome you to Bridgelands Cottage, set in the unspoilt village of Cark in Cartmel. From here you can explore the whole of the Lake District, the Kent and Lune valleys and Yorkshire Dales with ease.
Our cottage is furnished for your comfort. After a day walking in the fells, you’ll just want to sit back and relax in its cosy surroundings. With it’s beams and open plan kitchen it’s a delight to cook for your friends and family and then relax in our lounge with its open fire and choose from the selection of books, videos and board games.
The village has 2 pubs, a village shop and a post office. In fact there are 9 pubs within a 3-mile radius all serving a decent pint of local ale! This area is unaffected by the vast amounts of tourists that are found in the more well known areas of the central lakes. However, we are only a 20-minute drive to Lake Windermere.
We are a short drive from the M6 and have private car parking. The Cark and Cartmel Train Station is only a 5 minute stroll. |
