South Lake District
Beech Hill Hotel, Windermere
Lounge / Terrace
The Beech Hill Hotel occupies a prime position on the eastern bank of Lake Windermere, in the heart of the Lake District National Park. Inspiring and dramatic, the constantly changing mood of the mountains is reflected in the water of Windermere, Britain’s largest lake. Whatever the season, the vista is always beautiful to look at and the glorious countryside a joy to roam in, with plenty to see and do on land as well as on water.
From the expansive terrace and floor to ceiling windows of the Bar, Restaurant and Lounge, you never lose sight of the majesty of the area’s most prominent peak, Coniston Old Man, which forms the centre-piece of a post card perfect view of Lake and mountains.
The setting becomes ever more evocative by evening as the sun goes down. With a terrace bathed in sunshine during the summer and a roaring log fire and comfortable seating inside for winter snuggling, the charm and character of the Beech Hill blends harmoniously with its natural surroundings. |
