Nestled against 50 acres of National Park woodlands and overlooking Lake Windermere and Old Bowness, Blenheim Lodge boasts panoramic views of the Lake, mountains and fells beyond. Whether you are travelling en-route, on business, a tourist or simply desiring a quiet retreat, you will find a comfortable base in our friendly family home.
Built in 1868 of solid Lakeland stone, Blenheim Lodge has eleven bedrooms, ten with en-suite and one with private facilities. Each room has tea and coffee-making facilities, colour T.V. with remote control, and access to hair dryers. Rooms are available for single, twin and family accommodation on the ground, first and second floors of our home. Each room is individually appointed and decorated with Laura Ashley colours and soft furnishings, many with pieces of French antique furniture like those you may see in glossy lifestyle magazines.
From our elevated position at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, where the National Park borders our back garden, Blenheim Lodge can boast some of the best views of Lake Windermere and the National Park. Ten of our bedrooms have stunning views of the Lake, mountains and fells beyond, some panoramic. One has tranquil countryside views to the National Park woodlands, where you may see the wild deer graze. Our guest lounge has spectacular views of Lake Windermere and Old Bowness, surrounded by mountains in the background. For the comfort and safety of our guests, all our bedrooms and public areas are strictly non-smoking. |
