In the summer, aperitifs are often served on the patio - also a great place to have lunch. The Virtual Tour image shows some of the 6 acres of beautifully manicured gardens that immediately surround the hotel; the lounges, dining rooms and bedrooms all look onto them. Beyond the gardens are moors, woodland and fields where it is possible to stroll, 22 acres of which belongs to the Gilpin Lodge estate. Located two miles from Windermere in a tranquil location, our nearest neighbour is Windermere golf course, known locally as "the miniature Gleneagles".
