The Garden room (featured) is one of four cosy dining rooms, each individually styled to provide the right ambience whether for intimate romantic dinners or a private dinner for a group of friends. Style aside, we believe some traditions should not be tampered with - real fires, polished silver cutlery, proper candles, fresh flowers, and traditional starched white linen.
Dinner here is probably the highlight of the day (with breakfast, we are told, not far behind). Over the past 18 years, we have evolved an interesting yet unpretentious style of cooking which we feel sure you will enjoy. We hold a Michelin Star, as well as Egon Ronay 2 Stars, AA 3 Rosettes and an RAC a Gold Ribbon award. Our food can probably be best described as "classically- based modern international / British". Dinner is a five-course affair with plenty of choice, and we have put equal thought into our breakfasts, which include many of the traditional dishes and also some exciting alternatives. We use fresh local produce where we perceive it to be the best, and our style of cookery and menu compilation is imaginative without being fussy. |
