Linthwaite is an Edwardian country house with, we think, one of the best settings in the Lake District: only twenty minutes from the M6, and yet in the heart of the Lake District overlooking Lake Windermere and surrounded by peace and tranquility.
We're ideally situated for the many activities and attractions of the Lake District, and are happy to advise you on the best (and sometimes relatively undiscovered) places to see in the area. We can offer fishing, croquet and a practice golf hole in our grounds, Windermere Golf Club is just yards away, and guests also have complimentary use of Parklands Country Club leisure facilities just down the road.
Over half of our guests have either stayed with us before or have been recommended by a past guest, which is the best testimony we can receive, but we're also pleased to have been voted in the top 200 hotels of Britain by the AA, and awarded Gold by the ETC.
