South Lake District
Low Fell, Bowness-on-Windermere
One of our most “regular “guests recently described Lowfell as, “a rather pukka bed and breakfast in a fairly special spot “ – which we thought summed us up quite nicely!
“Lowfell” is a lovely turn of the century Lakeland stone house, facing south west and set in an acre of sunny secluded garden, nestling behind a high stone wall, and surrounded by gloriously mature trees and shrubs.
It is also ideally located just a five minute stroll from the shores of Lake Windermere – one of the most beautiful and interesting of all the lakes in Europe – and from the village of Bowness on Windermere and the fells behind the house. Just a short walk to local restaurants, and an even shorter stagger back.
We can accommodate a maximum of 6 guests in 3 super, bright, bedrooms – all are en suite – please our website for more details…
Huge and heavenly 6ft beds, tv, dvd players, wireless broadband internet connection.
We welcome children over the age of 10, but please do ask, we’re flexible and have a lovely 4 roomed hideaway in the loft – absolutely perfect for family and friends travelling together, or for a few days escape for 2!
And last but not least, we don’t pretend to be anything we’re not – no pretension, no photos taken from strange angles, no hidden noisy main roads, no promises of champagne, chocolates, welcoming decanters of sherry or dubious spa baths – we simply aim to provide you with really good bed and breakfast, in a lovely home, at a fair price. And we’d be delighted to think that like our many returning guests over the last eight years, that you’ll agree.
Lowfell is a totally non smoking environment, but we don’t in the least mind puffers in the bushes. |
