Guests can’t help but feel entirely relaxed and at home in the elegant (but comfortable) Du Bessin Drawing Room at Moresby Hall. This is a great place to meet for drinks before dinner, enjoying a chat with fellow guests or to curl up with a book after a scenic day out in West Cumbria. Guests love our splendid original fireplaces and the inviting log fires.
Moresby Hall also lends itself so well for private functions, for family, friends or colleagues to have the beautiful reception rooms for themselves - including wonderful dinners and imaginative buffets. There is a lovely atmosphere for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, business meetings, small conferences or special occasions as you can arrange to have this stunning building for your exclusive use. We also have FLETCHER a new first floor reception room for groups to meet, situated on the front of the Hall overlooking the extensive walled gardens.
Accommodation is available for up to 18 guests with additional accommodation arranged locally if required.
We can also help with murder mysteries, games nights (roulette, blackjack, whist & pool) themed weekends, and organise guided walks or mini-bus tours in West Cumbria. There is plenty of up to date literature and books available for help in planning your stay.
