Terraces
The terraces that run down from the Western and Southern sides of the house are 17th century, though William Sawrey Gilpin and Anthony Salvin designed the steps and walls in the 1820s. The clipped yews are late 19th century, reflecting the arts and crafts revival of interest in topiary. |
