Food and cooking is a really important part of life at Winder Hall. If the kitchen is the heart of the house, the dining room is definitely its stomach! We like to think each night is a sort of informal dinner party – it’s just that you don’t have to do the washing-up! The photo shows one of our favourite dishes: Lakeland lamb slow-cooked in red wine, rosemary and balsamic vinegar, served with parsnip mash, parsnip crisps and spring onions. |
