Carrock Fell
Carrock Fell is situated on the extreme northern
fringes of the Lake District National Park and its main virtue
is its enduring isolation. It is still largely unknown territory
to the many walkers who visit the area but upon reaching somewhere
near the summit you are rewarded with fantastic views. Rich
in minerals, the area around Carrock fell has been extensively
mined for many substances including copper, zinc, iron, manganese,
barytes and silver.
