Long Meg and her Daughters are a stone circle of approximately sixty-six stones. According to legend if you count the stones in the same direction twice you will be turned to stone. Local folklore says that the stones were a coven of witches. They were celebrating their sabbath when a saint discovered them and turned them into stone.
