Striding Edge overlooking Red Tarn
This view, looking along Striding Edge, shows
Red Tarn on one side with Swirral Edge cradling the tarn on
the other. To the right the ridge plunges down to Grisedale
Beck in the spectacular Grisedale valley. The final ascent
of Helvellyn is made by a fairly steep scramble up the rocky
face.
