Derwentwater from Brown Knotts

Brown Knotts, near Ashness Bridge lies on the flank of Bleaberry Fell. This evening scene in the early spring shows the sun setting below Cat Bells on the other side of Derwentwater. A snow-capped Skiddaw can be seen at the northern end of the Lake and in the far distance to the south the snow-covered Scafell range is just visible.
