North Lakes
Top of Cat Bells

A favourite with most walkers to the Northern Lakes, it is easy to see why Cat Bells (1481ft/451m) is often at the top of the list. Although not a relatively high fell, the views from its easily distinguishable top are superb – Skiddaw rises to the north, Derwentwater and Clough Head lie to the east, to the west lies Newlands Valley, Causey Pike and Robinson, and High Spy rises from Maiden Moor to the south.
