Seathwaite - Stockley Bridge

The old packhorse Stockley Bridge just up the valley from Seathwaite is quite similar looking to the well-known Ashness Bridge but with a different backdrop. Nestled in the Borrowdale Fells, Base Brown can be seen over the bridge. The bridge goes over Grains Gill, a small stream that begins its life high up on the slopes of Great End, and finishes its life in the Solway Estuary at Workington.
