Cartmel Priory

Cartmel Priory is perhaps one of the finest ecclesiastical buildings in the north of England. Still used as a place of worship it is also used for concerts and other events. Guided walks are available. Dating back to around the 12th century the priory was the foundation for the whole village that grew up around it.
