South Lakes
Sidehouse
The views from Sidehouse are magnificent.
Seated in the heart of the Great Langdale valley the tops of
Pike of Blisco, Crinkle Crags and Bow Fell can be seen up the
valley to the west. The summit of Harrison Stickle looms high
above to the north, offering one of the most impressive views
along the Cumbria Way.
Walk suggestion: The Cumbria Way is one of Cumbria's long distance
footpaths. Mainly a low level walk, the route travels from Ulverston
through the Lake District National Park to the city of Carlisle
- a total distance of 70 miles.
