South Lakes
Lingmoor Slopes

There are two Langdales - Little and Great which are separated by Lingmoor Fell. The view northward from Great Langdale valley is framed by the Langdale Pikes and Pavey Ark - a huge vertical rock slab. Lingmoor Fell rises steadily to the south, which drops down into Little Langdale near the foot of Wrynose Pass.
Walk suggestion: An 8 mile walk which circumnavigates Lingmoor Fell takes in both of the two delightful Langdale valleys. From the Old Dungeon Ghyll Hotel the walk passes the photogenic Blea Tarn, before dropping into Little Langdale. The path 'rejoins' Great Langdale in old slate-quarried woodland, emerging beside Great Langdale Beck.
